Rooted in Tradition, Setting Course for a Vibrant Future

One of the most important governing activities of San Antonio Academy’s Board of Trustees is to establish a strategic plan for the school every five to seven years. The Board has historically adopted plans for many years, with the last plan published in 2015. In December 2020, the board embarked on a strategic planning process that engaged more than 40 members of the school community – parents, alumni, faculty and staff, and community leaders, who addressed key areas of the school’s future. 

Implementation of the plan strengthens the school overall, sets a long-term, sustainable course to thrive and flourish, and most importantly, assures every Academy Boy receives the very best education. Deeply rooted in The Academy’s long-held traditions and values, the plan calls for the school to build upon its strengths and sets the course for a vibrant future. 

The plan offers for the first time a vision for the school and restates its mission:
