Instructional technology serves as a catalyst to promote problem solving, critical thinking, analytic, and decision-making skills in all areas of instruction. SAA's faculty, students, and staff have the skills to access, process, and communicate information in a dynamic, integrated, technological environment.
Integrated Technology at The Academy is a progressive program spanning Pre-Kindergarten through the 8th grade. Faculty and students have access to the following:
- 253 student-use only computers, which includes three mobile laptop carts
- 30 interactive whiteboards
- 92 Faculty/Staff computers
- iPads in the Primary School classrooms
- Campus-Wide Wireless Access
The Technology Department promotes ongoing, timely professional development where staff members learn to integrate technology into the curriculum and explore new technologies. SAA supports an infrastructure that includes up-to-date hardware, software and modern peripherals so that the curriculum can be easily integrated and provides support systems, such as personnel, operations management, and other systems that support teaching and learning.
