The Meadows Center’s interpreter-led field trips offer a unique learning environment at Spring Lake. Our 2nd graders will learn about the biodiverse Spring Lake ecosystem and the importance of environmental stewardship. Their programming can be customized to meet specific learning goals for any age group, from pre-school to post-retirement.

Scholarship

This trip is designed to engage the boys in exploring the interconnections between all living things and water. Through interpretive and interactive experiences, the boys will identify and discover concepts unique to their 2nd grade content standards, enhancing their academic knowledge and curiosity.

Leadership

The collaborative nature of this trip encourages the boys to work together, communicate effectively, and take initiative during group activities. These experiences will help develop leadership skills as the boys navigate tasks and solve problems collectively.

Integrity

Learning about environmental stewardship emphasizes the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions and understanding the impact on the natural world. This will instill a sense of honesty and ethical behavior as the boys recognize their role in preserving the environment.

Brotherhood

Participating in group tours and activities fosters a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among the boys. Sharing these unique experiences will strengthen their bonds and promote mutual respect and support within their grade level.
