Cell Phone Policy
Studies have consistently shown that excessive cell phone use, particularly in the form of social media engagement, is correlated with negative effects on student behavior, mental health, and academic outcomes. In an ongoing effort to ensure that students are not distracted by personal devices, SAA will continue to be a cell-phone free environment for students. We request that parents partner with The Academy and have their son refrain from bringing his cell phone to campus.
If a student needs to contact a parent or guardian during the school day or after school, he may utilize a landline in the main office or any other administrative office.
If a parent needs to contact his/her son at any time, please feel free to contact the main office at (210) 733-7331, and we will ensure that the message is delivered. If calling after school and the main office number is non-responsive, please call our After-School Care direct line at (210) 245-5304.
Should a boy bring a phone to campus, he will be required to leave it in the front office during the school day and may retrieve it immediately prior to departing campus.
Thank you for your continued trust and support in our mission to provide an exceptional education intentionally crafted for boys.
