We're In This Together
Dear SAA Families,
I hope your family is healthy, and everyone at SAA is missing seeing your boys on campus. I know there is a lot of uncertainty out there these days, and we want to keep you informed as we navigate this challenging time together. I would like to share some updates with you today.
Based on Governor Abbott's executive order delivered yesterday, March 31, San Antonio Academy will extend our campus closure until May 1.
I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for our SAA Family as we continue to work together during this unprecedented time. I am grateful for the effort put forth by our students, teachers, administration and staff as we adapt to our online learning program. I also want to thank our parents for your help, support, and patience as we work together every day to improve and resolve the challenges that inevitably come with online learning. We appreciate your feedback, and we will continue to strive to do our best to provide our boys with quality learning online, with a focus on connecting them to their SAA Family.
Staying Connected
SAA will continue to engage our students through our online learning program in the coming weeks. We want to stay connected with our students and with our entire SAA community. Some of the ways we are doing this is through social media and my daily Chapel Talk videos. In our continued efforts to collect content for these formats, we've requested that you share images and/or videos of your home-bound experiences. These shared moments provide a touchstone for our families while simultaneously helping SAA document this time in our history. To learn more how you can participate, please read this message from our Communications Team, which outlines our expanded efforts. Click here to read.
Online Learning: Phase Three Rollout
As we near the end of the second week of our online learning program, you will receive an email message from Dr. Patrick Atkerson this Friday, April 3, which will include some helpful FAQs. In the meantime, please continue to email technology inquiries to saaclosure@sa-academy.org. Our team is working hard to address your questions as soon as possible.
The health and well-being of our students and community remain our top priority as these difficult decisions are being made. I am grateful for each individual SAA family and for our entire staff who is working tirelessly to meet the needs of our SAA boys. We truly are all in this together. We all have families we love and must care for, and no one has all the answers at this time. However, I believe SAA is united in our commitment to preserve and overcome this challenge together. God bless you and keep you safe.
Sincerely,
Clint DuBose Head of School
