LAX Season Coming to a Close
The Wildcat's lacrosse teams traveled to Boerne last Saturday to take on the Greyhounds. The 7th/8th grade team played twice, and the 5th/6th grade team concluded there regular season with a single game against Boerne.
In the first game, the 7th/8th grade took a quick lead behind a goal by Forrest Runnels before storms moved in. Following the first lengthy lightning delay, Aidan Notzon scored to put the Cats up 2-0. Another line of storms brought another lightning delay and when the game resumed the Wildcats finished the job with a final score of 7-1. Goal scorers in the first game also included William Riggs and Ryan Jourdan.
In the second game of the day, the 5th/6th grade squad took the field late, played hard, and put up some stiff defense. Unfortunately, they ended up losing a close game 3-1. Cole Roos scored the lone goal for the Wildcats.
In the final game of the long day, the Wildcat 7th/8th grade team took on the second Boerne team and came away with a 7-0 shutout! Goals were scored by Spencer Britton, William Riggs, Ryan Jourdan, Ben Espy, Aidan Notzon, and Forrest Runnels.
The 7th/8th grade will travel to TMI today for their final regular season game. Tournament play for both teams starts the last week of April.
