Mike Heineman - Athletic Director

Mike has coached at SAA since 1994. As Director of Athletics, he currently coaches varsity football. He has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin. In 2008, Coach Heineman was recognized—alongside his twin brother, Chris—for Basketball Fame in the Hoosier State; to the Indiana Silver Anniversary Basketball Team. This distinguished designation was in recognition of his leadership on the Connersville High School basketball team twenty-five years ago. Heineman and his brother are the first-ever Silver Anniversary teammates to hail from the same high school.

Brittany Schrader

Brittany is the Head Soccer Coach and Head Track Coach at SAA where she is responsible for leading the team’s development and skill training. She recently obtained her National Youth Coaching license. Brittany has coached club soccer eight years and played for twenty, where over her career, she played national tournaments and won several state titles. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of the Incarnate Word, where she played collegiate soccer and was part of the Women’s Program that made it to the Elite 8 in 2007, also making it to the NCAA tournament every other year. In the summer of 2012, Brittany played in the WPSL for the Spokane Shine, winning the division. In 2018 she became a Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA).

Mike has been at SAA over a decade. He is the Head Coach of Cross Country, and he serves as the assistant coach in Lacrosse. Mike received his degree from the University of Wisconsin and has over 25 years of coaching and teaching experience. 

Matt Veldt

Matt Veldt

Email Coach Veldt is the Head Coach for the Lacrosse program. Matt served as Athletic Director at SAA for 11 years. Since his departure from SAA, he taught history courses to international secondary students in Chiang Mai, Thailand and a variety of courses to middle school students in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Along with his teaching duties at both schools he coached volleyball, basketball, track, and cross-country.  Matt has a Bachelor of Arts, Social Sciences degree from Weaton College.
