Spencer Romo, Class of 2007 (Alumni Monday Speaker)

On February 6, 2023, we were joined by SAA alumnus Spencer Romo, Class of 2007, as our speaker for Alumni Monday. He spoke to the boys about his accomplishments and journey to get to where he is today. He encouraged the boys to take risks and challenge themselves every day as it will help them grow and gain more experience in every aspect of life.

Alumni Monday speaker Spencer Romo

Spencer graduated from The Academy in 2007 and had the honor of being the Battalion Commander of his class. After attending SAA, he attended and graduated from TMI Episcopal and went on to study business and computer science at Washington University. He is now a data scientist for Amazon Web Services.

During his Chapel talk, Spencer encouraged the boys to remember three things:

1. Do what you love because you will be the best at it.

2. Do things that are scary but not dangerous.

3. Remember the school motto: "Be honest. Be kind. Be the best you can be."

Thank you, Spencer, for sharing your incredible story and being an encouragement to the boys of SAA.
