United States Marine Corps, LtCol. Jeremiah Leibowitz - Class of 1991 (Alumni Monday Speaker)

It was a pleasure to welcome alumnus and former battalion commander, United States Marine Corps, LtCol. Jeremiah Leibowitz, class of 1991, as our speaker for Alumni Monday on October 30, 2023. Jeremiah spoke to our boys about his personal experiences in leadership, the importance of integrity, and how everything he was taught at The Academy translated to daily use throughout his education and military career.

After graduating from SAA, he attended Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire for high school. He then went on to attend Texas A&M University and joined the Corps of Cadets. From there, he decided to join the Marine Corps and served 4.5 years on active duty. He is still currently serving in the reserves.

During his chapel talk, Jeremiah spoke to our boys about the leadership models that he was taught at each institute he attended, starting at SAA all the way through the Marines. Out of all four mottos that he was taught throughout his lifetime, he credits the one learned as an Academy cadet as the foundational piece he has used most throughout life, both personally and professionally.

He concluded by encouraging the boys to take our motto, "Be Honest. Be Kind. Be the best you can be.®" and remember it on a daily basis because it will serve as a strong foundation.

Thank you, Jeremiah, for joining us today and being an encouragement to our boys.
