Honorable Richard Price - Class of 1976 (Alumni Monday Speaker)

It was a great pleasure to be joined by SAA alumnus The Honorable Richard Price, class of '76, as our Alumni Monday Speaker on September 11, 2023. Judge Price spoke to our boys about his time here at The Academy and the valuable lessons and principles he learned and kept with him throughout his life.

Honorable Richard Price for Alumni Monday

Judge Price attended SAA from the 2nd to the 8th grade, recounting being involved in many activities. One of his most memorable accolades while attending The Academy was when he was awarded "The Colonel's Cup," in the 4th grade as the first ever cadet to receive this award in 1972. This is an award given to a cadet with the highest scholarship and showing ethics, leadership, and concern for others.

He went on to talk about the amount of impact that The Academy had on him in traits such as leadership, pride, integrity, honesty, and ethics that he kept and grew as he furthered his education and, eventually, his career. Judge Price went to school and became an attorney for many years before he became a judge in 2005.

He concluded by crediting his success and achievements in the field of law to what he learned as a boy while attending SAA. He thanked and recognized people who made an impact on him, such as Col. Bondurant, Prof. Jim Bruno, and many others.

Thank you, Judge Price, for sharing your wonderful memories and a very inspiring message with us.
