Dalton Banks - Class of 2011 (Alumni Monday Speaker)

It was a pleasure to welcome SAA alumnus, Dalton Banks '11, as our speaker for Alumni Monday on October 23, 2023. Dalton spoke to our boys about all his fond memories during his time at The Academy and the importance of the bonds of brotherhood that are formed and often last years after graduating from SAA.

Dalton Banks - Alumni Monday

Dalton graduated from The Academy in 2011, and went on to attend Alamo Heights High School. After graduating high school, he attended Cornell University, where he played as starting quarterback for their football team his sophomore year.

During his chapel talk, Dalton expressed his love for playing football and how it was at The Academy that his passion for the sport began. He was part of the Wildcat football team that returned from a long hiatus in 2010 under former Athletic Director coach Mike Heineman. It was here that Dalton got his start in the sport that ultimately took him to play as a Division 1 Ivy League athlete.

Dalton spoke about his many memories while at SAA, from buddy activities to the 8th Grade Shakespeare Play, but the one thing he valued the most, was the bond of brothers he formed here. He expressed that throughout all the years, he has stayed extremely close to some of his SAA brothers. So much so, that four of his groomsmen in his upcoming wedding are all friends from The Academy.

He concluded his talk by encouraging the boys to value the bonds and relationships made while at SAA because they will be the ones who stick with them for a lifetime.
