It was a pleasure to be joined by SAA alumnus Andrew Gutierrez, Class of 2006, as our Alumni Monday speaker during Chapel on March 20, 2023. During his talk, Andrew focused on The Academy's motto, specifically on the ending that states, "Be the best you can be." He encouraged the boys to always be the best version of themselves by being happy and doing what they love with the people they love.

Andrew was what we call at The Academy a "Lifer," meaning he attended all ten years of school (pre-kindergarten through 8th grade). After graduating from SAA in 2006, he went on to attend TMI Episcopal for high school, and Gonzaga University where he received his degree in Business Administration. 

He was enthusiastic in encouraging the boys to find happiness in doing what they love with the people they love. He gave the example of when he does card tricks and plays the banjo. He finds great happiness in sharing these activities with his family and friends. 

Andrew ended his presentation by sharing a little piece of what he loves to do by giving us a fantastic banjo performance.
