Sean Conaway '04 as Honor Guard Company Commander of 4th Battalion, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment Escorts Former President Carter's Casket

Sean Conaway '04, currently serving as Honor Guard Company Commander of the 4th Battalion, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment, recently escorted former President Jimmy Carter's casket. Conaway's remarkable journey from SAA to this high honor has had unexpected peaks and valleys along the way. He served as an airman at Joint Base San Antonio, enrolled at Arizona State University and completed Officer Candidate School at Fort Moore, Georgia. Soon after, Conaway left Fort Moore as an engineer officer — a career choice resulting from his four years of enlisted service. San Antonio Academy commends Conaway on his service to his country and is grateful to him for representing The Academy so well on such an international level.
