San Antonio Academy celebrated its 50th anniversary in providing a “Guard of Honor” at the Alamo Green during the Battle of Flowers Parade on Friday, April 26. Each year, we have a large group of 5th-8th grade boys and everyone has a memorable experience.
The Battle of Flowers Parade is the oldest event and largest parade of Fiesta San Antonio, attracting crowds of more than 350,000 on the second Friday of Fiesta. It is the only parade in the U.S. produced entirely by women, all of whom are volunteers.
