SMU Graduates Daniel and Jackson Covert '15 Are Going Places!

SAA is happy to share an update on fellow alumni Daniel and Jackson Covert, both from class of 2015!

Daniel Covert '15 graduated from SMU in May with bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science and minors in Public Policy and International Affairs, Arabic, and African and Mideast Studies. In addition, his twin brother Jackson Covert '15 graduated from SMU in May with bachelor's degrees in International Studies and Art History and minors in Public Policy and International Affairs, Italian, History, and Political Science.

Daniel received a silver medal in the men's singles at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Championships this Spring and came in sixth place in the men's doubles at the American Collegiate Championships. He is now rowing for the Dutch team Okeanos in Amsterdam as he is pursues his M.Sc in International Crimes, Conflict, and Criminology at Vrije Universiteit.

Jackson is working toward an MA in Conflict Studies and Human Rights at Utrecht Universiteit. Both Daniel and Jackson plan to go to law school next year and Dan is adding a second master's degree in Mideast Studies at UT.
