Chef Josef Centeno, Class of 1989 - A Modern Tex-Mex Kitchen

Chef Josef Centeno ’89 was spotted at Hotel Emma last October for the book signing of his new Tex-Mex recipe cookbook, “Amá: A Modern Tex-Mex Kitchen.” Chef Centeno, who launched his restaurant empire in Los Angeles (4 and counting), credits his hometown, San Antonio, with inspiring his culinary career.

Pictured: Josef with SAA faculty member, Barry Bradley, who attended the event to support his former student. Also in attendance was Josef’s brother, Aramis Centeno ‘94, who lives in SA and works at Alamo Architects. Recently, Chef Centeno was featured in the Netflix series “Taco Chronicles.”
