San Antonio Academy has graduated leaders from San Antonio, South Texas, and beyond since 1886. Our alumni include astronauts, Congressmen, attorneys, doctors, artists, engineers and business professionals. SAA has a strong foundation of alumni who provide support through leadership, contributions, and history to their alma mater.

Alumni Association
The San Antonio Academy Alumni Association serves as a means to bolster the alumni’s voice, develop school leadership, help perpetuate the long-held values of the school, and provide avenues for alumni support of the school, always with the goals of strengthening the Bond of Brothers and providing the very best for our boys. All alumni are members of the Alumni Association and have the right to vote to elect the Alumni Association’s board which consists of 12-18 members, who themselves elect an Executive Committee.

On October 2, 2023, we had the honor of hosting San Antonio Academy alumnus, Alston Beinhorn, class of 1965, as our Alumni Monday speaker during Chapel. During his presentation, Alston spoke to our boys about his life experiences, Academy experiences, and the meaning of leadership.
Recently, a group from the SAA Class of 1963 enjoyed reconnecting at a gathering. This picture represents an enduring legacy of brotherhood - one of the four pillars strengthened at The Academy. Dr. W.B. Seeley, our school founder said, “I want our students to be known for their scholarship, leadership, and integrity.”
Daniel Covert '15 graduated from SMU in May with BA's in History and Political Science and minors in Public Policy and International Affairs, Arabic, and African and Mideast Studies. In addition, Jackson Covert '15 graduated from SMU in May with BAs in International Studies and Art History and minors in Public Policy and International Affairs, Italian, History, and Political Science.
On September 18, 2023, we had the privilege of hosting Academy alumnus, John Amini ’05, for Alumni Monday. As an Academy “Lifer” (attending all 10 years from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade), John’s experiences and insights resonated deeply with our community.
We congratulate Joseph Angulo, class of 2022, for recently being elected President of his sophomore class at Alamo Heights High School!
