Affording The Academy Experience
We believe an Academy education can make a difference for every boy who experiences it. Likewise, The Academy becomes a place of new ideas, new pursuits, and new perspectives, when our students come from many different communities, faiths, and economic backgrounds.
We recognize that for some, full tuition stretches beyond a family's resources, which is why we strive to make The Academy Experience accessible to families of all income levels. This is made possible through our need-based tuition assistance program and Tex Hill Scholarship.
Tuition Assistance
For the 2024-25 school year, SAA awarded 16% of students with tuition assistance, totaling more than $900,000. The average grant comprises approximately 73% of tuition.Families who have been accepted to San Antonio Academy may apply for tuition assistance by completing an online application, which requires detailed, itemized financial information.
An independent, neutral service analyzes the applications and provides SAA with an estimate of how much money each family can contribute to its son’s independent school education. All tuition assistance is need-based, confidential, and remains strictly independent of the admissions process.
Applications for aid may be made at any time, provided funds are available. Many families are eligible to receive tuition assistance, and we encourage everyone to apply each year.
For application assistance, contact Gary Marvin, Director of Admissions at gmarvin@sa-academy.org or (210) 733-7331 ext. 226.
