Meet Eric Iglesias
Originally from Puerto Rico, Eric grew up in Florida where he played baseball at the collegiate level. After graduating from nursing school in 2013, Eric moved to Austin, TX to begin his career in an emergency room setting at a Level 1 trauma center. Following the next five years, Eric gained experience working in other challenging scenarios including detention centers, critical flight care, and surgical settings.
Eric's most recent employment was as an ER/ICU nurse during this pandemic taking him to locations in New York, New Jersey, Arizona, and California. He is currently attending the University of Incarnate Word in pursuit of a doctorate's degree as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
Eric and his wife, Brooke, have resided in San Antonio over the last three years where they love raising their three-year-old son, Noah (with another one on the way!). As a family, they are active in Jiu Jitsu and Crossfit. And while we will know him at SAA as Nurse Eric, to a group of 12 and 13 year-old boys on a local baseball team, he is better known as "Coach Iglesias."
