This is a short, four session review of a specific parenting book. This year’s Book Study will be on how we communicate with our children and the impact this has on their willingness to engage, listen and respond.
The author of a The Blessing of a Skinned Knee, Wendy Mogel, PhD, has just completed her newest book, Voice Lessons for Parents: What to Say, How to Say It and When to Listen. It is currently available in Audible Books, Kindle and hardback. She gives the reader insight into what gets in the way of effectively communicating with our children as well as practical and useful suggestions for how to best get our children’s attention.
