Summer 2026 Runs June 1 Through July 24

For 38 years, Summer At The Academy has been one of the most respected enrichment programs of its kind in the region, welcoming hundreds of girls and boys from across South Texas and beyond. What began as a seasonal offering has become a tradition: eight weeks of purposeful learning, joyful discovery, and the kind of summer children remember long after they pack up their backpacks and head back to school.

The 2026 Summer Catalog is available, and families may register for courses online.

For parents who want more than idle hours and screen time, Summer At The Academy offers something different. It is a summer intentionally designed to keep your child creating, exploring, and learning, all while having fun.

Summer At The Academy

A Campus Designed for Exploration

Located just north of downtown at 117 East French Place, between Main Avenue and McCullough at the gateway to the Monte Vista Historic District, San Antonio Academy’s tree-shaded, seven-acre campus provides an ideal setting for summer discovery. Boys and girls move between bright classrooms and open green spaces, balancing focused study with outdoor activity in a safe, structured environment.

Course offerings span science, language arts, technology, mathematics, crafts, cooking, fine arts, performance, and much more. The breadth is intentional. Summer should stretch a child’s imagination.

This year’s catalog delivers.

Happy Summer Families

Here's what some of our summer families had to say:

"My kids love going to The Academy for summer classes. I like that the class sizes seem to be smaller so there’s more attention and it’s a real learning experience. I love being able to see how many kids are allowed in each class in the class description."

"Overall the counselors and staff were extremely friendly and provided a safe and fun environment. I will definitely sign our daughter up for camps again next summer and have told many of my friends about SAA Camp."

"This was a lovely camp and my kids were happy and joyful at pickup every day! Thank you for putting together a quality camp option for families in San Antonio."

"My children loved their classes! It was a safe, fun, learning opportunity for them both. It was fun for them to meet new friends and learn in a new environment. We hope to be back next year."

"Absolutely love the camps!!! This is our third year and we will be back next year!"

Register Early—Classes Fill Quickly!

The 2026 Summer Catalog is posted online at www.sa-academy.org/summer, giving families the opportunity to review options and thoughtfully select courses. Online registration is open through Summer At The Academy’s online registration platform — UltraCamp.

Some classes fill quickly. Many families make Summer At The Academy part of their annual rhythm.

Summer should be more than a break. It should be a season of growth, discovery, and lasting friendships, lived out beneath oak trees, in classrooms filled with laughter, and in moments that quietly build confidence for the year ahead.

We look forward to welcoming your family this summer.

The annual 8th Grade Championship Debate brought together the top student speakers in the Class of 2026 for an afternoon of thoughtful discussion, persuasive argument, and confident public speaking. This year’s debate centered on the topic, “In recent decades, the quality of life for children and teens in the United States has improved significantly.”

2nd Grade Poetry Extravaganza 2026

Ellison Hall was filled with pride, joy, and heartfelt expression as San Antonio Academy’s 2nd-grade boys took the stage for this year’s Poetry Extravaganza, a tradition that celebrates both creativity and confidence.

art show

Each spring, San Antonio Academy celebrates one of its most vibrant traditions: the annual school-wide art show, a joyful showcase of creativity, confidence, and student expression. This year’s exhibition once again transformed the McCombs Gymnasium into a gallery, where artwork from boys across multiple grade levels filled the room with color and imagination. Families, faculty, and friends gathered to admire a wide range of pieces, each reflecting the unique talents and growing artistic skills of our young artists.

A Day at the Museum

San Antonio Academy welcomed families for “A Day at the Museum: Portraits of Leadership,” where 3rd graders presented a living museum that connected local history with personal growth. Through thoughtful presentations, the boys reflected on how influential figures have shaped their understanding of The Academy's four core pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Integrity, and Brotherhood.

Each gallery highlighted voices that have defined San Antonio and The Academy, while giving our boys the opportunity to speak with confidence and purpose. Events like this reflect SAA’s commitment to developing strong public speakers and young men prepared to lead.
