SAA Students Take the Stage for “A Hero’s Quest” Spring Concerts

Posted May 11, 2026

On Friday, May 8, 2026, families and friends gathered in Ellison Hall for the annual Spring Concerts, celebrating the musical talents of our Primary and Elementary School Academy boys. This year’s theme, "A Hero’s Quest: Featuring Heroes Large & Small," highlighted courage, perseverance, and character through a memorable selection of songs inspired by the heroes in classic books and tales.

Primary School Concert

The Primary School concert featured students in Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Pre-K and Kindergarten students delighted the audience with “The NeverEnding Story,” while Kindergarten and 1st grade students performed “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Mulan. First- and 2nd-grade students brought energy and enthusiasm to “Try Everything” from Zootopia, and 2nd-grade students performed “On Top of the World” from Hercules. The concert concluded with all Primary School students joining together for their renditions of “Go the Distance” from Hercules and “Hall of Fame.”

Elementary Concert

The Elementary School concert featured students in 3rd through 4th grade, along with several members of the 7th grade. Centered around the adventurous spirit of The Hobbit, the performance included “Misty Mountains” and “Song of the Lonely Mountain.” Students also performed powerful selections, including “The Impossible Dream” from Man of La Mancha, “Go the Distance” from Hercules, “Born for This” from Percy Jackson, and “Homeward Bound.”

The event showcased not only the students’ musical growth and stage presence but also their confidence, teamwork, and dedication developed throughout the year. Thank you to our Music Teachers, Dr. Owen Duggan and Ms. Traci Brown, for their leadership, and to all of the families who supported the students and celebrated their performances.
