Maj. Reggie Hargrove II - Class of 2005 (Alumni Monday Speaker)

Maj. Reggie Hargrove II, Class of 2005, joined us as the Alumni Monday speaker on April 8, 2024, as the world awaited the solar eclipse later in the day. He encouraged the boys to "find their own North Star" by discovering their life's purpose and chasing after it wholeheartedly.

After graduating from SAA in 2005, Reggie attended Reagan High School and then went on to the Air Force Academy in Colorado. He now works as an Account Executive in Technology Consulting.

In his engaging presentation, Reggie walked us through some core memories while at The Academy, including the 8th grade class trip, playing on the basketball team, and even some important life lessons. He continued by reminding the boys that it's important to cherish the relationships built during their time at SAA, from the brotherhood among peers to the inspiration provided by faculty and staff.

He concluded by encouraging the boys to always work hard, be kind, and keep an open mind. He emphasized the importance of remembering that things might not always turn out how they want, but it could lead them to a new ultimate purpose, a new "North Star."

About Alumni Mondays: Each Monday, we welcome an Academy alumnus to speak to SAA boys during chapel. During this presentation, our alumni speakers share meaningful stories and lessons from their days at SAA. View Alumni Monday Showcase
