Lincoln O'Brien - Class of 2004 (Alumni Monday Speaker)

Lincoln O'Brien - Class of 2004 (Alumni Monday Speaker)

On November 6, 2023, we had the privilege of hosting Academy alumnus Lincoln O'Brien '04 for Alumni Monday. Addressing his fellow brothers, he spoke about his time at SAA and reflected on being a part of The Academy family and the importance and meaning of brotherhood.

Lincoln O'Brien - Alumni Monday

Lincoln graduated from The Academy in 2004 and went on to attend Central Catholic High School. He then attended the University of Dallas, where he studied politics, and now works as a business banker for Frost Bank.

After sharing pictures and reminiscing on his time as an Academy cadet, Lincoln shifted to speaking about the brotherhood formed at The Academy and its importance as part of the overall Academy experience.

He recalled a few examples of when his fellow brothers came together to be there for him. "Brotherhood is all about being there for each other and lifting each other up when times are good, but more importantly, when times are bad," stated Lincoln.

He concluded by reminding the boys that even though they may face challenges and obstacles during their time at SAA and throughout life, they can take comfort in the fact that The Academy community, especially their brothers, are here to help them and pick them back up when they need it.

Thank you, Lincoln, for joining us today and reminding us of the importance of brotherhood.

holiday food drive

In the spirit of holiday giving, San Antonio Academy proudly announces the extraordinary success of our annual food drive in support of the San Antonio Food Bank. The annual school-wide initiative exceeded all expectations by collecting 24,000 pounds of food. This not only doubled our ambitious goal of 12,000 pounds but also surpassed last year’s total, setting an unprecedented record for our school.

Taylor Hall

It is with immense gratitude that we announce a gift that will greatly impact the future of San Antonio Academy. The Semmes Foundation has made a $5 million gift to The Academy, establishing the Semmes Foundation Head of School Endowment.

Investment income from this endowment will supplement the annual salary and benefits for the Head of School position, having an enduring and positive impact on The Academy’s operational budget for many years to come.
