Gather Under the Oak Tree & Alumni Awards Ceremony 2023

SAA alumni from various decades gathered for a reception held Thursday, May 25, to reconnect with fellow alumni and teachers and to recognize two distinguished SAA alumni.
During the annual Gather Under the Oak Tree event, the San Antonio Academy Alumni Association recognized and presented awards to two alumni for their outstanding achievements and contributions to our society.
Mathew Myers, JD, from the Class of 2003 was honored and presented with the 2023 Young Alumnus Award. This award was established in 2022 to highlight alumni aged 35 and younger who are rising stars and who excel in representing the four pillars of San Antonio Academy graduates – scholarship, leadership, integrity, and brotherhood. Rick Hagemeister, MD, from the Class of 1960 was honored with the 2023 Distinguished Alumnus Award. Since 2007, the San Antonio Academy Alumni Association has celebrated accomplished graduates for their professional achievements, contributions to society, and loyalty to The Academy. It was an honor to welcome back SAA alumnus Michael Kelleher, class of 2013, as our Alumni Monday speaker on April 15, 2024. Michael spoke to the boys about his journey, starting at The Academy to where he is in his career today.

San Antonio Academy's annual "Day at the Museum" event, held on Friday, April 12, took us on a journey through American history, as our 3rd grade students took center stage to portray significant historical figures.
