Matthew Myers, Class of 2003 (Alumni Monday Speaker)

We welcomed SAA alumnus Matthew Myers ’03 as our Alumni Monday speaker at Chapel on April 25. He spoke to our boys about the long-lasting friendships he made at The Academy and how our motto has influenced him throughout his life.

After The Academy, Matthew went on to graduate from Alamo Heights High School and Austin College, as well as Baylor University for law school. He is now a Business Immigration Attorney for his own firm – Myers Immigration Law.

He says The Academy exposed him to a variety of interesting topics, fine arts programs and cultural experiences, which in turn, caused him to be interested in meeting lots of different people who aren’t the same as everyone else, and helping those people.

“The encouragement of different ideas and experiences and not needing to conform was beneficial,” said Matthew. “Being well-rounded was something that was emphasized.”
