Virginia Beeler - Associate Head of School/Academic Dean | Email or call ext. 218
Virginia has served as SAA Associate Head/Director of Curriculum since 2000. After receiving her degree from Texas Christian University, she taught fourth and fifth grade in the Fort Worth ISD and Alamo Heights ISD, respectively. For the next fifteen years she raised two children, while volunteering in a variety of roles with the junior League and on community boards. She served as Director of the Alamo Heights Summer School Program which provided remedial instruction for elementary school children, and she initiated and coordinated a Mentoring Program at Woodridge Elementary. Virginia then taught sixth grade English and Advanced Reading at Alamo Heights Junior School for seven years, and also served there as Interim Counselor for a semester before coming to The Academy.
Mary Wilde - Associate Head of School/Admissions Dean | Email or call ext. 204
Mary, a native of San Antonio, came to SAA in 1987 having just completed her degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in reading from the University of Texas in Austin. Mary serves as Director of Admissions connecting with the parents and helping them "become family members of SAA." She also manages The Academy's Need Based Financial Aid Program and the Tex Hill Merit Scholarship Program.
Frank Stanage - Commandant/Associate Head of School/Dean of Students | Email or call ext. 205
Frank, a native of Michigan, came to The Academy in 2009 after serving 25 years in the United States Air Force. He initially joined the faculty of SAA as Commandant, a role in which he oversees the military and leadership program for grades three through eight. In his second year, he started to administer the school's system of discipline and was appointed Dean of Students. Frank is certified by the professional community to practice and/or provide instruction in numerous fields including leadership, coaching, human resources, communications and education. After earning degrees in human resource management and in organizational leadership, he obtained a graduate degree in educational administration.
