The teachers at The Academy really help you. They communicate with you – it's not a big classroom full of students, and they don’t talk to a bunch of kids at once. You can go in, get the one-to-one help, and really experience the teacher for who they are and how they can teach you.

I think boys here do well with the rigor of academics because they get to have fun too, and it is just an incredibly vibrant school environment for them. There’s so many activities, so many sports, so many things that complement the academic program that I think that’s ultimately what makes it so effective.

My favorite thing about San Antonio Academy is the sense of true brotherhood among the boys. Whenever I walk on campus with my son, he’s high-fiving other students, at drop-off he’s wanting to stop at specific people because he wants to say ‘hi’… so our windows are down, we’re waving, and we’re doing this every single day. That sense of true friendship, brotherhood, and togetherness is my favorite part about The Academy.

This is a place where boys are nurtured. We really cater our teaching to the ways that boys learn. There are lots of choices and authentic learning experiences that make sense to boys. Because we are able to tailor our education to their strengths, we're also able to find their areas of weakness and meet their needs where they need to be met.

The most important thing is the brotherhood here because it taught me how to make friends, and how to be kind towards people. It also taught me how long friendship can last because I still contact a lot of my friends from San Antonio Academy.

Set to take place in just two months, one of San Antonio Academy’s time-honored traditions is clearly on the horizon: the annual Military Ball. Before stepping onto the dance floor, nearly 90 middle school boys must first step up to respectfully ask a father’s permission to escort his daughter to the occasion. This decades-old Academy Boy rite of passage exemplifies the school’s commitment to cultivating what is proudly referred to as “Texas Gentlemen.” More than a label, this concept embodies scholarship, leadership, integrity, and brotherhood—values reinforced daily within the boys who attend SAA.
SAA's rookie 5th grade VEX IQ robotics teams wrapped up an impressive debut season at the NEISD Elementary Robot Wonderland Tournament held at Madison High School. Despite being short-handed, The Academy's two teams—the Spartans and the Tech Titans—displayed remarkable resilience and teamwork.
