What's the Difference between Annual Giving and the Endowment Campaign?
Annual Giving ensures that SAA is strong each year. Endowment builds a strong foundation for coming years.
|
Annual Giving
- Annual Giving goes directly into this year's operating budget to keep the school strong for current students.
- Annual Giving includes the Annual Fund, Fall Family Fair, Spring Thing, Memorial/Honorary Gifts and some Restricted Gifts.
- Gifts and pledges made to Annual Giving are for one year (from June 1 - May 31).
- Operates much like a deposit to The Academy's checking account.

|
Endowment
- Endowment keeps the school strong for future generations.
- Each year the school draws income from the endowment - 4.5% of the twelve-month average.
- That income supplements the operating budget, taking pressure off of tuition to fund the entire cost of an Academy education.
- Pledges to the Endowment Campaign can be paid over a period of 3 - 5 years.
- Operates much like an investment account.
