8th graders perform Julius Caesar
In ancient Rome, the Ides of March referred to the first full moon of the year, and that date specifically was the fifteenth day of March. Only later did Shakespeare link that date in inauspicious fashion to the cautionary words of a mysterious soothsayer, an oracle who tried to warn Julius Caesar of a plot to take his life.
